A 10-minute evening face-yoga and self-massage routine
A short ritual to release the day: jaw, brow and neck, then slow breathing.

Evenings are a natural moment to slow down. A short self-massage routine can be a pleasant way to mark the end of the day. Here is a simple sequence; use light pressure throughout and stop if anything feels uncomfortable.
Before you start
- Cleanse your face and hands.
- Apply a few drops of facial oil or a light moisturiser so fingers or tools glide.
- If you use a gua sha stone or roller, make sure it is clean.
The sequence
1. Neck (2 minutes)
With flat fingers, stroke gently downward from behind the ears to the collarbones. Keep the movement slow and light.
2. Jaw (2 minutes)
Many of us hold tension here. Place your fingertips on the jaw muscles, open the mouth slightly and make small, slow circles.
3. Cheeks (2 minutes)
From the side of the nose, sweep outward toward the ears. With a gua sha, hold the stone almost flat against the skin.
4. Brow and forehead (2 minutes)
Smooth from the centre of the forehead outward to the temples, then press lightly along the brow bone.
5. Breathing (2 minutes)
Close your eyes. Breathe in for four counts and out for six. Let the shoulders drop on each exhale.
Consistency matters more than intensity — a gentle five minutes most evenings beats a long session once a week.
